1. Introduction
Ombhaktidarshan respects the personal and devotional nature of the information users share. This policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed and safeguarded in connection with ombhaktidarshan.com.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect or generate:
- account information such as username, name and email address;
- profile details such as photograph, gender, birth date, birth time, birth place, birth star, occupation and current place;
- family-member details that you choose to add, including similar profile information, relationship and memorial information;
- prayer categories, Sankalpa selections, devotional-service choices and beneficiary details;
- voice recordings and related duration, transcript or service-status information;
- order, payment, transaction and gateway reference information;
- contact/support messages and their private reference IDs; and
- necessary session, browser, device, security and technical log information generated through use of the website.
3. Why We Use Information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, provide the selected devotional service, associate Sankalpa and beneficiary details with a request, process and verify payments, send service or payment communications, provide support, maintain security, prevent misuse or fraud, improve reliable operation, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Voice Recordings and Technology
When you choose the voice-offering feature, the recording is stored with your devotional request. Ombhaktidarshan’s current technology uses the prayer intention and Sankalpa details you select to support the devotional direction and operation of the request. A transcript field and service status may also be maintained where the workflow uses them.
Recordings and related details are used only for the stated devotional service and legitimate operational, security or legal requirements. This policy does not claim that every recording is automatically transcribed or subjected to automated decision-making.
5. Family-Member Information
Family-member information is collected only when a user chooses to maintain a family profile or include loved ones in a Sankalpa or devotional service. The user submitting that information is responsible for having appropriate permission or authority.
6. Payment Information
Payments are processed through third-party payment gateway providers. Ombhaktidarshan stores order, payment, signature and transaction references needed to verify and manage a payment, but sensitive card or UPI credentials are generally entered into and processed by the gateway rather than stored by Ombhaktidarshan.
7. Cookies and Session Data
The website uses cookies and session data that are necessary for authentication, security, language preferences and core site functionality. Browser or server logs may record technical information needed to protect and operate the service.
8. How Information May Be Shared
Ombhaktidarshan does not sell users’ personal information. Limited information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with payment processors, email or communication providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, authorized service personnel involved in fulfilling the requested devotional service, professional advisers, or legal and regulatory authorities where required by law.
Access should be limited to the information needed for the relevant purpose. The present system does not establish that original voice recordings are routinely shared with Purohitas, so this policy does not make that claim.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Data Retention
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for the account, requested service, transaction records, support, security, dispute resolution and applicable legal requirements. Retention may differ by record type.
11. Your Requests and Rights
Subject to applicable law and necessary operational or legal retention, you may ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information through the Contact Us page. Choose “Privacy / Data Request” and provide enough information for us to verify and handle the request safely.
12. Children
The service is intended for use by adults. A child’s information should be submitted only with lawful parent or guardian involvement and authority. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary information about children.
13. Third-Party Links
Links to third-party websites are governed by those providers’ privacy practices. Please review them before providing information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when services, legal requirements or data practices change. The current version and its updated date will appear here.
